Sending lots of love to Aunt Veronica’s family.
She was one of a kind…she may have been direct in her approach to people but she had the biggest heart ever. When my children were small she made a cut-up cake for EVERY birthday. Over the years l bet she made everything that was in her cut-up cake cook book. Butterfly, Raggedy Ann, Train, Snake, Rabbit, Truck, Giraffe, Bear, Dog, Space Ship to name a few. When l taught school, every Christmas she had a coconut gumdrop cake and a boiled cake ready for us because she knew I was busy. This lasted until her hands only allowed her to make fewer cakes. She even apologized for not being able to do the gumdrop cakes.
Aunt Veronica was very knowledgeable…she could tell you anything you needed to know about plants and along with Aunt Mona knew a lot about which plants could help you with different ailments.
Although our telephone conversations were fewer in recent years you always knew you could count on her when you needed answers. But no longer!
At last she is finally free of her aches and pains. Love you, Aunt Veronica….fly high and know that although we will miss you, we will cherish all the memories you have shared with us. xoxo
