Doubtless, the family would have no recollection of me or my name. My maternal grandmother was Edith Jacques and my mother Marilyn Dewar brought my late sister Kathy & me to Auburn every summer of our childhood. I have fond and vivid memories of both Earle and Kay as spirited dedicated and active members of the Aylesford United Church, and dear neighbors, " up the Morden road". Wonderful people who contributed so much to their community. My deepest sympathies.

My mother was a wonderful partner and love of my father, Erle, first and foremost (as it should be). Her motherly care and devotion to their four children followed close behind. I am amazed at Mom's patience, perseverance, and unconditional love for each of us as we grew up across the country as we were posted from RCAF base to RCAF base, eventually happily landing in CFB Greenwood.
I recall her admonition to me as a young boy when going out to play about being home for supper and of course, what young lad would ever even think of missing Kay Dolsen's fare?! My Dad's piercing whistle would resound through the New PMQs if I was not home in time and all of my friends knew what that meant.
Suffice it to say that Mom was a rock for us kids and she was no pushover when it came to getting our chores done or finishing my homework. She never once complained about my tree sap covered clothing, knowing about my need to be in the woods.
As an adult, Mom supported me in my career efforts starting with my Cape Split/Blomidon preservation efforts at Acadia, and then later on in Alberta, Idaho, Montana and Utah. Mom loved Linda, my wife, and our daughters: Danya and Alanna; as well as my daughter, Sacha. We were all blessed by Mom's presence and continual care in our lives.
I love you "Dears'st", your son, Dana
