I had the privilege of having Marion as my godmother. She was a lovely, caring, faithful woman and a dear friend to my mother. I will always remember the story my mother, Joyce Stevens, told me of when Marion brought Mum and me home from the hospital after I was born. My father was working and not able to do it. After Marion got us home and settled in, she was going to leave for her own home. My brother John, who would have been not quite 3, wanted to know why Marion was not taking her baby with her. I guess he thought the 3 boys were enough. She will be missed by her family and so many friends. May she truly rest now in peace.
