Obituary of Evelyn Wilhelmina Porter

Evelyn W. Porter (Gray), 85 of Mt Denson, formerly of Newport Station  passed away July 21, 2018 in the Hants Community Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Bayfield Allison and Ida Gray.

Evelyn enjoyed watching The Big Bang Theory and all the cooking shows she could find on television, she absolutely adored cooking. She loved her scratch tickets and delighted in working with her puzzle books.

She is survived by her daughters Debbie (Ellis); Jocelyn (Frank); and Janice; son Douglas "Butchie" (Sandra); sisters Maxine and Ida; brother Charles; grandchildren Holly (Arthur) States; Shannon States; Tracey (Mike) States-Barker; Cheryl (Chad) Gray; Dwayne Gray and Dana Gray; great-grandchildren Tapanga, Tyson, Jon Jon, Avery, Josie, Kinston, Tenisha, Quintina, Bryanna and Devon; great great-grandchildren Nico, Rio, Thay, Keisha, Shawdon, Tayden, Cody, Jayden, Nylah, Zepher, Bodhi, Jaxon and Dylan.

Besides her parents, Evelyn was predeceased by a son in infancy; sisters Kathleen, Ruby, Brenda, Shirley, Carol, Frances and Beulah (sis).

A Funeral Service will be held on July 27, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Windsor Plains Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
