Obituary of Norma Audrey Miles

Norma Audrey Miles, of Purcell's Cove, passed away peacefully last week at her new home in Enfield. Born in Halifax, she was the only daughter of Wallace and Nine (Oakley) Amos of Nine Mile River. She is survived by her former husband Gilbert Edwin Miles; her children Wallace Barry (Cindy Landry), Debra Lynn and Gilbert Edwin, Jr.; grandchildren Chelsey, Emma, Sharlene, Jesse, Cody and Russell; great-grandchild Liam. Later in life Norma and her partner Edward Kiley, owned and operated Percell's Cove Marine. They ran a boat charter service and marina and enjoyed over 25 successful seasons on the water before Ed's untimely death in 2008. A celebration of her life will happen in Purcell's Cove Social Club in Purcell's Cove on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 4:00 pm. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Our mother was the sparkle in the room, the wit in any conversation, and a wonderful person in all respects. A straight shooter, she told it like it is. You always knew where you stood with Norma. She loved her children and their kids very much. She also has a very warm spot in her heart for all friends at the Purcell's Cove Club, Especially "Patti".
