Obituary of Margaret Sylvia O'Neill

Margaret Sylvia O'Neill of Berwick passed away May 17, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital with family by her side. Born in Calgary, AB, she was the daughter of the late George and Septa (Hanson) Noer. Margaret was a great lover of flowers, the african violet being her favorite. She would cross-breed and raise violets for many years. Margaret also enjoyed helping people and this showed with the work she had done for ten years on the Board of Directors at the Upper Room Food Bank, the first seven spent as their Secretary. She is survived by sons William "Gerry" O'Neill of Ontario, Brian O'Neill of Alberta and Patrick O'Neill of Kied, Urkirain; daughter Nancy O'Neill of Berwick; sister Grace Belcher of Cooksville, ON; grandchildren Erin O'Neill, Kelly O'Neill, Kristie O'Neill, Chad O'Neill, Joseph Moore and Christopher Moore; great-grandchildren James Pach, Sara Pach, Greer O'Neill, Persimmon Moore and Ronan Moore; many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband William James Terrence O'Neill, brothers Gordon Noer and Charles. A Funeral Service will be held on May 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Kingston United Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Kingston United Church.
