We were so sorry to learn of Dave's passing. He was in our bridal party back in 1962 and one of the greatest people we know. We are unable to attend the funeral as we have been sick for the last few weeks with pneumonia (both of us). Our thoughts are with you and we are so sorry we will not be attending. I know you have some great memories of Dave and hopefully they will help you through this difficult time. Huck has been going back in time and relating some great stories.
Sincerely Huck & Goldie Hull

Dear Aunt Joan, Cindy & Trent,
My deepest & heartfelt love, prayers, sympathy & condolences. Although it has been many years since I last saw Uncle Dave, he was always my favorite uncle. I remember him as always being a fun-loving tease. As kids his teasing always made us laugh! I remember family gatherings & apple picking weekends, and it always seemed Uncle Dave was either teasing one of us or laughing or smiling while smoking his pipe. The world has lost a very kind & honorable man but you, his beloved wife & children, have gained a very special guardian angel. God bless you all.

Our deepest condolences to Aunt Joan, Cindy & Trent at the loss of "Uncle David"
So many great memories of uncle Dave when we would visit Nova Scotia in the 70's, 80's and when my kids were young at the Carroll reunion. Also remember a big smile on uncle Dave's face when ever we would see him. Our thoughts are with you.

To the family;
I knew David through the 4 years of my undergrad at Acadia. He was one of my favorite business Profs. I appreciated his sense of humor, and his dedication to the profession. He played a role in my interest in entrepreneurship and me subsequently becoming a CMA.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time as they celebrate his life. May the pleasant times and memories carry you through the sadness.

As my first real boss, the founding executive director of the Acadia Centre for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Dave got me started on a deeply fulfilling career path that I have followed for my entire professional life. Things would have been completely different without him. This is a sentiment shared by many, no doubt. Cheers to you, Dave. You will be sorely missed.
My heartfelt condolences to Joan, Cindy, Trent, and the whole family.

Dear Cindy -
We were so sad to read of your Dad's passing. Even though we only met him a few times while he and Garth were undergoing treatment in Kentville, we so enjoyed talking with him and you. He was such a friendly and interesting man.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Dave was a good friend of mine for almost 70 years. He was fun to be with and had a great sense of humour. I will always remember him with great fondness and miss his easy manner. I have had few real friends in my lifetime. I was fortunate to have Dave as one of them.
I know how difficult it will be for Dave's family to recover from this loss, but they should always remember that Dave loved them deeply. In the last conversation with me Dave said, "I have had a good life, my only sadness is for those that love me that I will leave behind."
Sheila and I wish all those who loved Dave, as we did, the strength to carry on as Dave would want them to.
With heartfelt sympathy,
Bob Martin and Sheila Mason

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing . I have great memories of him teaching accounting to me at Acadia and that little smile and chuckle that would appear often . I can vividly remember the day he arrived in class and announce the birth of his first child , beaming and grinning from ear to ear . My condolences go to all his family . Keep those good memories with you .
