With mom by her side holding her hand, Leah Marie Pineo passed away peacefully in her home in Canning on April 17, 2018. Born on June 2, 1972, she was the daughter of Frances and the late Albert Pineo of Canning. Leah was the owner of "Leah's Clean & Green". A laundry service first in Canning, then into Kentville and surrounding area. She retired in 2017 due to ongoing health issues. "Leah… You always loved music, being in the middle of what was going on around you, enjoyed going for drives, watching the traffic and people as they were having a drink at Tim Horton's." Besides her mother, Leah is survived by brother Austin (Joy), nephews Cody, his family and Jagar; sister Tausha (Jeff), nephew Koltin and niece Hailey; grandmother Emma Corkum of Pereau; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Leah leaves behind a loving and caring family who supported and loved her in her CLAS Home in Canning for the past 24 years. She shared a special bond with her house sister Krista, who had shared in Leah's life for over 40 years. Please help us Celebrate this special gift we called Leah, come share memories, laugh and cry with us and listen to the tunes that Leah enjoyed. "Today I'm Going to Try to Change the World": This song as a tribute to Leah, was picked because of our belief that Leah lived a life of accepting others and of others accepting and bonding with her. "Our world has become a much better place because of Leah's presence." A Celebration of Life to honor Leah's Memory will be held on April 26, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Wolfville Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Community Association of People for Real Enterprise "CAPRE", www.capre.org.
