Obituary of Dorothy Marion Denton

Dorothy Marion Denton (Milton), 85 passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 21, 2018 in Ocean View Continuing Care Centre in Eastern Passage. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Merrill "Bud" Sinclair Denton; daughter Jane Lillian Snow; sister Lorna Moore; brother Edwin Milton. Dorothy was born in Toronto, ON in 1932 to Eric Arnold Milton and Margery Harriet McLennan. She married Bud in 1956 and they moved to his home province of Nova Scotia in 1976, where they ran an insurance agency together in Bear River for many years, both having received their insurance licenses. She is survived by her daughter Amy Brennan; son-in-law Barry and granddaughter Kate Snow of Dartmouth; sister Margery Herndler Milton of Brampton, ON; brother Arnold Milton of Fort Lauderdale; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She will be dearly missed, forever loved and remembered for many things such as being a kind, generous, loving, warm-hearted, feisty, funny, animal-loving, and a wonderful and amazing woman. Her love of her family and friends is unsurpassed. She always made everyone feel welcomed and loved. At her request, there will be no service. Memorial donations in Dorothy and Bud's memory may be made to the Ocean View Continuing Care Centre of Eastern Passage, 902-465-6020/1/3/0.
