Obituary of Dorothy June Eddy

Dorothy June Eddy, 91 passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in Windsor NS. Dorothy was born in Chester Basin, NS, she was the daughter of the late Murray and Blanc (Lantz) Countway. She met and married the late Rev. Arthur J. Eddy in 1946 and shared 63 years of love and devotion. She gave willingly and lovingly to everyone, even if it was the chair you were sitting on. Her family is comforted, that although she is absent from the body, she is present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). She will be remembered as a loving mother and Nannie to her three children and five grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, David (Trish), Ohio; Dana, Florida; daughter, Dawna (Christopher) Havill, Port Williams; grandchildren, Anne (Kevin) Kincaid, Nathan (Rene Strohecker) Eddy, Aaron, Austin, and Elizabeth; sisters Carol G. (Carmen) Rafuse; Kitty M. (Ron) Hunter; Claudette Heisler; brother James M. Countway. Numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
