Annie Winifred Cull, Major (Ret'd), age 91 promoted to glory on Saturday, June 24, 2017, in The Sagewood Nursing Home in Lower Sackville. She was a Salvation Army Officer (active and retired clergy) for 71 years and served faithfully in many cities throughout Canada. She leaves behind, with loving memories, son, Lorne; daughter-in-law, Sherri; grandchildren, Dr. Kathryn Cull (husband, Scott Edmonds), Bedford; Justin Cull, St. John's, N.L.; Jillian Cull, Kelowna, B.C.; and Joshua Cull, Lower Sackville; her step grandchildren, Nicolle Coffey, Bedford; and Christian Coffey, Halifax; her step great-grandchildren, Gregory Trask and Keeoe Coffey; special friends and colleagues, Major Alma King, St. John's, N.L. and Major Olive Perry, St. John's, N.L. Major Winifred Cull was predeceased by husband, Major Harold Cull; mother and father, Reuben and Susie French (of Bay Roberts, N.L.); and her siblings. A service of celebration will be held in The Salvation Army, 51 Metropolitan Ave., Lower Sackville on Sunday, July 23, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Friends of The Sagewood Family Council, 345 Cobequid Rd., Sackville, NS B4C 4E6 or The Gideons International in Canada. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
