Ronald Leo Rafuse, 79 passed away peacefully June 28, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Melanson, Kings Co., NS, he was the son of the late Leo and Elsie (Atwell) Rafuse.
He was a self-employed carpenter for many years, as well as a respected resident of his community.
Ronald is survived by his sons Jason (Susan) Rafuse and James Rafuse; daughters Carol (Jody) Dexter and Wendy (James) Barkin; four step children; eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on July 4, 2017 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the home of Jason and Susan, 64 Highland Avenue, New Minas. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Melanson Cemetery or the NS Heart & Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
