Obituary of Zelda Kathleen Barkhouse

Zelda Kathleen (Bennett) Barkhouse, 89 of Scott’s Bay Road passed away Wednesday June 7, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital. She was a resident of the Wolfville Nursing Home for one and half years.

She is survived by son Laurie (Tammy) Barkhouse of Scott’s Bay Road; daughter Carol (Kip) Foster of New Minas; grandchildren Austin Harold and Isaac Aubrey Barkhouse; brother Carl (Rhoda) Bennett of Canning; sisters Ruth Bennett of New Minas; Thelma Corkum of Scott’s Bay Road and many nieces and nephews.

Zelda was predeceased by her parents Manson and Clara (Blenkhorn) Bennett; her husband Harold Ernest Barkhouse and brother Gerald Bennett.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday June 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Wolfville Serenity Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Wolfville Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville (902-542-4656).
