Dorothy Etta Hudgins, 89 formally of Harmony, Kings Co. passed away February 24, 2017 in the Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Burlington, Kings Co. on December 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Ezra and Ina Jane (Swindell) Swindell. Dorothy trained to by a Registered Nurse at the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax. She worked at the formaer Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton before her marriage to Donald Hudgins. She was a good mother and fond of the ourdoors. Dorothy was active in the Harmony Baptist Church. She is survived by her children Ruth Anne (Paul) Pyne of Lakeville; Frank Ezra (Diedra) Hudgins of Timberlea; Etta Jean (Ken) Adams of Athol; Mark James (Valerie) Hudgins of Harmony; grandchildren Miles Pyne of Lakeville; Peter (Natasha) Pyne of Waterville; Aaron (Jen) Hudgins of Dartmouth; Sarah Hudgins of Angola, Africa; Joanna Hudgins of Lantz; Sarah Adams of Wolfville; Luke Hudgins of Victoria, BC; Shonna Hudgins of Harmony; great grandchildren Cloe and Kaelan of Dartmouth; brother Warren Swindell formerly of Burlington, now in the Frand View Manor. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Donald Hudgins; brothers Paul, Ronald and Willis; infant sister Edna and sister Beulah. Service information to be announced. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimers Society, Grand View Manor or Harmony Baptist Church..
