Obituary of Thelma Christine Veinotte
Please share a memory of Thelma to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with sad hearts the family of Thelma Christine Veinotte, announce her passing on December 26, 2016 in Oakwood Terrace, Nursing Home, Mount Hope Ave., Dartmouth, NS. Born in Italy Cross, Lunenburg Co. in 1924, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Nellie (Naugler) Zwicker.
A DAUGHTER – A WIFE – A MOTHER
Thelma lived her life during interesting times with many changes. As a little girl, she moved to Boston with her family and upon return move to the Annapolis Valley, where as a young woman during World War II, met and married the man of her life. Together they raised three children during the post war years.
Dad, being a gardener by profession, led to both Mom and Dad enjoying gradening and tending their greenhouse together. They enjoyed the rewards of their efforts with Mom's favourite being the roses and Dad, all flowers.
Mom loved all sports and watching hockey, wresting, baseball, curling, etc. with her family, bringing many hours of shared fun for everyone. She cared dearly for her family, expecially her parents and her children. She devoted her life to her family.
Mom also found great comfort and joy in recent years in two very dear family pets. Scotia, the family's Duck Toller and Nova, the family's devoted Fur Buddy.
The South Shore, Boston, The Annapolis Valley and the City of Dartmouth – Mom made them all her home with her Family!
