Helen Katherine Beals, formerly of Nicholsville, Kings County, passed away on 5 December, 2016 at Grand View Manor. She was 2 months short of her hundredth birthday. She was the daughter of the late Church and Minnie Morse. After finishing school, she trained at Mack Business College in Kentville. She was actively involved in community affairs and a life time member of the Morristown Baptist Church where she was a dedicated choir member. For many years, she worked with her husband running Howard's Service Station in Morristown. She had a life time passion for cards and continued attending card parties until she was incapacitated. However, her greatest pleasure came from caring for her family. She was predeceased by her husband Howard, brother Wayne, sister Idelle, daughter Joy, and great grandson CJ Frank. Surviving are sons LeRoy and wife Shirley, Lachute Quebec, Jonathan and wife Elaine, Victoria British Columbia, daughter Mary and husband Greg McGrath, Lower Sackville, son-in-law Neil Ryerson, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Berwick Chapel, 192 Commercial Street Berwick (902-538-9900). There will be no funeral service. A private family interment will take place at a later time. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice.
