Just heard of Jims passing. My sincere condolences to Dianna and family. So sorry to hear this sad news and that I was not there to visit or pay my respects. Jim was a co worker of my Dad in Aldershot and through that Jim became a friend to me. So much so that he did my electrical and I did his plumbing. I am sure we both chuckled over that tax free labor. That crew in Aldershot were not just tradesmen but the best of friends to the end. Even though we seldom saw each other in the last few years it was always great to see his smile and share some tales of the past. Jm I will miss you buddy, say hello to JR for me. Till we meet again.

Our memories of Jim will always be tied to baseball. He had a deep love of the game, a keen appreciation of its skills, tactics and strategy. But most importantly he was enthusiastic about passing these qualities on to a new generation of ballplayers. Our son was fortunate enough to be one of those players. For over ten years Jim coached the same core group of kids, taking them from the basics of how to hold a bat at age eight to the Nova Scotia Provincial Junior Champions as eighteen and nineteen year olds. Along the way he dedicated thousands of hours to the development of these kids, who are now men. Turns out the baseball values he instilled in his players:- teamwork, commitment, dedication, sacrifice, forgiveness, personal responsibility and a respect for others are the exact same qualities needed in life. What an outstanding personal legacy for a man, that the values you hold dear in life are given to another generation, that they continue on once you are gone. The country, the world needs more men like Jim Brothers.
Diana, Rachel and Ryan we share in your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers .

It was not long ago that we met Ryan's dad at the occasion of Ryan & Sarah's wedding. We were both amazed by his strength and dedication to his family. Such characteristics are indeed rare and an honor to those who loved him. It is a difficult loss to bear however such strength will not die. He will live in all of your hearts and will send you signs periodically to remind you of that. This I truely beleave. Take care. Sincerely, patty and mark winfield

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. He will always be remembered by the boys as "Coach Brothers". Jim had a huge impact on the lives of my children and many others both as a coach and a mentor. He is often mentioned to be the best coach they ever had.
Please take pride in knowing what a great man Jim was, and the positive impact he made on so many lives. He will always be remembered with great fondness.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Working with Jim for many years at 14 Wing I will always remember him with a smile. He loved to tease and had such a big heart. When I would look up and see him coming towards my office he was always wearing a grin and had a sparkle in his eyes. He would take a candy from the dish that was always there and continue on his way, after a chuckle or two of course! May you rest in peace Jim!

My sincere condolences to the family of the late Jim Brothers. I knew Jim when he worked at CE Greenwood and I was the Wing Logistics Admin Assistant...in my capacity, I had numerous occasions to discuss personnel and other issues with Jim. He was always so very polite and very professional. Jim took great pride in his work and it did not go unnoticed. May your beautiful memories and love in your heart for your beloved one sustain you in the days and years ahead. May God bless each of you always.
