Ruby May Postdown, 91 of Somerset, Kings Co. passed away on November 13, 2016. Born in Berwick, she spent all of her life in the Somerset area. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Annie (McGinnis) Saltzman.
In 1945, she married William Postdown and joined him in the operation of his farm.
Ruby is survived by sister Margaret O'Neill of Berwick; nieces Doris Anne Geddes of Waterville; Catherine Gable of Port Coquitlam, BC and nephew Robert O'Neill of Waterville.
She was predeceased by her husband William; son George; sister Shirley, in infancy; brother Alfred Saltzman and niece Caroline Patry.
Special thank you to the staff of Orchard Villa West, Berwick for their care and kindness to Ruby. Also, thank you to Dr. Gillis and the staff of Valley Regional Hospital for their compassion.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Berwick Chapel, 192 Commercial Street Berwick (902-538-9900). There will be no visitation by Ruby's request. A Funeral Service will be held on November 17, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Berwick Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the NS Heart & Stroke Foundation or a
Charity of Your Choice.
