I would like to offer my condolences to Paul, Richard, Wayne, Randall and their wivesl on the loss of their Dad, Raymond. I was very fond of Raymond and one of the main things I remember about him was his smile. I know my Grampy (Frank Kennedy) had a very high opinion of your Dad
I know I don't get down that way to visit often but there is not a time that I drive through where the "new" bridge went and remember how very much I loved being at Grampy's, surrounded by such wonderful people. All of you and your parents were a part of my youth. You all will always be remembered.
"Losing a Father is like losing shelter and support. It is not easy to cope with this pain. I am saddened by the news of the loss of your Father. It is surely a tough time for you so I am standing behind you to offer strength and support. May his soul rest in peace">
Love to you all
Vicki

Dear Wayne & Family: Sorry to read of your Dad's passing in the paper. So many years have passed since you lived in Avonport. It seems like time passes and you don't even realize it. It wasn't until I read Ed Coleman's message that I remembered that little building out behind your white house with the red trim. Spring on the river was almost every kid's "fun" in the spring. Not long ago, I was going through a box of newspaper clipping, yellowed with age, and came across the picture of you painting the Monument in Hantsport and wondered where you were. As your family take's your Dad home to his beloved Avonport always remember you are surrounded by friends and neighbours. My sincerest regards to you all. Sonya

Very sorry to hear of Raymond's passing. He was such a pleasant man, always with a smile and a kind word. I remember many a happy moment with him around the old Avonport Esso. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. May God Bless.

I'm blessed to have you as my papa. To all my family; I think of you all as he had a special place in all our hearts. I'll always remember the silly things he would say. "Did you know cherries put hair on your chest holly". We made home made ice cream and showed me how to gut a fish. I'm glad I got to spend time with you the last few weeks, even when you where sleeping wake up for a second; look at me and go back to sleep. Glad I got to be there with you papa.
Love holly

My condolences to Mr. Dexter's family. I remember Raymond from the time he operated smokehouses in Avonport, Every spring I'd visit his home to buy those wonderful smoked gaspereau he and his wife smoked in their backyard. Raymond was renowned for his smoked fish and I deeply regretted the day he closed the smokehouses down. I had the pleasure of writing a story about Raymond that was published in local newspapers. He was certainly a fine craftsman when it came to smoking fish and a gentleman to boot. Again, my condolences.
