The family of Nancy Harritt Thompson, 76 of Digby, are deeply saddened to announce her sudden passing. She peacefully left us in her sleep on October 24, 2016, in her family home. Born March 9, 1940, she was the late daughter of John and Alma(Amirault) Cowan. Nancy was a homemaker, spending all her time with family and friends. She enjoyed dancing, music, telling jokes and having a good time. Always welcoming anyone into her home with her beautiful smile, and inviting personality, brightening every room she entered. She is survived by her loving husband, Errol, who dedicated his time ensuring she was always taken care of; supporting daughter Debbie(Robert) White; loving sons Andrew Davidson, Donald"Chuck"(Michelle) Davidson, Jeffery(Carol) Bourque, Errol(Mary) Thompson; grandchildren Danea(Jason), Isaac, Julian, Kymberly(Mike), Isaak, Aldren, Ryan, Dajel, Jaydin, Jenessa, Jagger; Great-grandchildren Jemma, Cohen; several nieces and nephew. Pre-deceased by brothers Philip Cowan, John"Hoppy" Cowan; sister Jacqueline Cowan. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annpolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902) 679-2822. A funeral service will be held on November 1, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Digby Grace United Church, 19 Prince William St. Followed by burial at the Fairview Cemetery, West St. and celebration of life at the Digby Royal Canadian Legion Branch 20 (Downstairs). In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
