Kenneth Eldon Lewis, 88 of South Range, Digby Co. passed away October 10, 2016 peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Danvers, he was the son of the late Harry and Fannie (Sabine) Lewis. In his early years he worked as a woodsman for different people including on his own lands. He drove a dozer constructing roads for his brother Harry of Lewis Lumber Company of Weymouth for many years. He loved and enjoyed his family foremost; also fishing, hunting, and golfing. He spent countless hours at the dam, playing cards, having potlucks with family and friends and digging clams and boiling them on the beach. He is survived by his wife Amy (White) Lewis of 61 years; sons Terry (Marsha) and Kevin (Nikki) of South Range; sisters Doris Mcfarlane (Douglas) of Beaverlodge, Alberta and Verna Sabine (Earl) of Riverdale; grandchildren Mallory of Moncton; Kendra of Halifax; Brandon Sivret of Digby; Breanne of Digby; Shaylynn of Digby and Rylee Amon of South Range. Kenneth was predeceased by his brothers Harry (Mildred), Glidden (Cecelia), Reginald (Beatrice), Donald (Jean), Keith (Verna); sisters Kathleen Lewis and Lennie (Edgar) Sabine; granddaughter Crista Ann Lewis. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr (902-679-2822). A Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday October 14, 2016 at the South Range Christian Church with the service to follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Mark Elley officiating. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be at a later date for the family. Donations in memory may be sent to the Canadian Cancer Society.
