Obituary of Russell Albert Spencer

Russell Albert Spencer, 63 of Lower Burlington passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in his home after a long battle with cancer; surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Wolfville and raised in Lockhartville; he was the son of the late Eleanor Spencer. He worked at various jobs including Heritage Memorials. Russell is survived by his companion and long-time friend Margaret Sanford; son Adam (Tasha); daughter Jody; grandchildren Taylor, Carley, Tyler, Charlene; great-grandson Bentley; sisters Janet (Terry) and Kathy; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Eleanor Spencer and beloved grand-mother Evelyn Spencer. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr (902-679-2822). A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Riverside Cemetary on New Cheverie with Rev. Gary Manthorne Officiating. Reception to follow at the Center Burlington Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VON Nova Scotia, Hants County Palliative Care, North Wood or a charity of one's choice.
