Paul Douglas Maker, 78, of Kentville, NS passed away April 21, 2016 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in Toronto and raised by his Gram, a lady he loved and respected dearly. At a young age he enlisted with the military becoming a member of The Black Watch and Signal Corps. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. Upon leaving the services he owned and operated a refrigeration and air conditioning company in Toronto. He later moved from Toronto to the Annapolis Valley which he proudly called home. Paulie, as he was known by some of his friends, enjoyed playing crib, crossword puzzles and spending time with his friends, telling stories and according to Paulie the best team for hockey is the Toronto Maple Leafs. He is survived by three daughters and grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Coldbrook Funeral Home & Chapels34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive (902-679-2822). An informal gathering in the memory of Paul Douglas Maker will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 on June 11, 2016 at 2:30 pm. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Last Post Fund Canada.
