Obituary of Jean Bernadette Brimicombe

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jean Bernadette Brimicombe (Doyle) received her wings April 26, 2016 at the age 81, as she slept peacefully. Born October 11, 1934 in East Chezzetcook, NS, she was the daughter of the late Parker and Evelyn (Hines) Doyle. She was a recent resident the Wolfville Nursing Home and spent 20 years at the Glooscap Manor in Canning; where she developed many great relationships with the other residents. Jean enjoyed many social functions that she would arrive always with her arms full of goodies. She loved travel, playing bingo, making jams, cooking for her friends and neighbors and loved her flower gardens. She was also a lady with many hats. During her three year stay at the Wolfville Nursing home Jean believed, without a doubt, that the staff treated her like royalty. She enjoyed all activities but especially the bus outings and bingo. Jean had the riches of most millionaires simple because of her ability to make everyone feel loved and cared for. Left with fond and loving memories are her children Billy and John Henderson, Wolfville, Wayne Brimacombe, Wolfville and Harold (Melissa) Brimacombe, Halifax. Three sisters, Betty Smith, Hortonville, Kathleen (Phillip) George, Ontario, Marie (Hank) DeBruin, Ontario and brother Richard (Leticia), Hortonville and two grandchildren, Madison Joye and Mackenzie Sarah. Along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Burchell "Burt" and daughter Anne; brothers Bernard, Gerald, Raymond, Junior, and Peter. Special thanks to the Wolfville Nursing Home, Dr. Burton and Dr. Phillips, niece Karen Crowell and, her husband, Paul for all the love and support given. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr, Coldbrook, NS (902-679-2822). In keeping with Jeans wishes, cremation, has taken place. There will be no funeral service and burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Wolfville Nursing Home (Resident Council for Senior Programs).
