Colin Eugene Wilson, 83 of Cornwallis, NS, passed away on April 2, 2016 in the Digby General Hospital after a short battle with cancer, with his wife of 61 years by his side.
Born in Oshawa, ON, he was the son of the late Harold and Helen (MacLean) Wilson.
Colin was a member of the Clementsport Legion and the Oshawa Naval Club, from which he received his 60 year recognition this year. He was employed by General Motors, Oshawa for 37 years, retiring to Nova Scotia in 1991. Colin loved his golf games, pool, darts, cribbage and family get togethers.
He was predeceased by his brothers Ronald (Rita) and Brian (Millie) and sister Joyce Wilson.
Colin is survived by his wife Eva (Harvey), sons Dave (Astrid) of Victoria, BC and Dale (Barb) of Nanaimo, BC, brother Barry (Darlene), Fergus, ON, sister Sandra Willsher (Ken), Oshawa, ON. Grandchildren Scott, Juliana, Lauren, Charlie, Caitlin and Piper. Great-grandchildren Emma, Bradley and Sebastian and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home and Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive (902-679-2822). A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 13th at 2:00pm at the Clementsport Legion. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
