Valerie Ann Horne (Miller), it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Valerie Ann Horne, 65, of Enfield on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016, following complications from an emergency cancer surgery.
Born in Halifax on February 14th, 1951, Valerie is survived by her husband Terrance (Terry) Horne, sons Nathan and Nicholas (Pamela), granddaughter Clara, mother Ethel (David) Munro, mother-in-law Geraldine Horne, siblings Gregory Miller, Peggy (Bill) Ingraham, Peter (Cathy) Miller as well as many aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Valerie is predeceased by her father Arthur (Buddy) Miller, siblings Stephen Miller and Carmel Fox, and Father-in-Law Edgar Horne.
Valerie was an amazing wife, mother and very devoted to family and close friends. She enjoyed hosting many family gatherings, Thursday card games with Deen, her annual girls’ soiree, and spending time on the lakeshore socializing or just gazing out at the lake with her husband of almost 40 years, Terry. In recent years, the highlight of Valerie’s life was spending time with her precious grand-daughter Clara Ann. Valerie touched many people in the community with her laughter, welcoming nature and will be missed by all.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home and Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Drive, Coldbrook (902-679-2822).
