Obituary of Mary Grace Carless

Mary “Grace” Carless (nee LaPierre), cherished wife of George and loving mother of Christopher (Toronto) and mother-in-law of Anna, died at Valley regional hospital, Kentville, NS on March 21. Grace was a loving, caring, sensitive individual, giving much of herself to others and will be remembered as a loving nanny, a dedicated volunteer, an open-hearted host for foreign students and someone who loved picnics, excursions, fairs, sing-songs and family gatherings. Mary Grace is well known to the parish of St Joseph in Kentville, in which she sang in the choir. Grace is survived by several nieces and nephews and their children. She was predeceased by her sisters, Edna, Dorothy and Theresa, brothers, Harold, Gerald and Clyde (all of Halifax). Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home and Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, Coldbrook, NS (902-679-2822). Cremation has taken place and according to her wishes there will be no interment or visitation. A prayer ceremony will take place at St Joseph's church in Kentville on Monday, March 28 at 9am with a small reception to follow for friends and family members.
