Those we love dont go away,
They walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Death leave a heartache
No one can heal,
Love leaves a memory
No one can steal
I have fond memories of Uncle Sheridan. Ill never forget the fun visits as kids, when he lived on Forrest Hill Road. Im glad Ryder and I had the chance to visit when we were home last year, it meant a lot to both of us. xox

To Ann, Sheridans children, family and friends accept my condolences for your loss.I had hoped to connect once more with Sheridan.I remember all those seemingly sun filled days at the farm playing with my cousin.
Live not in yesterday,
Look back and you may sorrow.
Live precisely for today,
Look forward to tomorrow.

I am so sorry for your loss. The loss of a loved one is one of the most difficult things a person may have to deal with in life. We can take comfort from Gods word that tells us hes aware of our pain. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God."

So sorry to hear this, Ann. I know he had a rough go these last few years, and so glad you were there for him. I will always remember the stories dad would tell of his Soccer days, and even though I was young, I do remember to this day watching him play in Wolfville.
Run free, Sheridan

So sorry to hear this news. For the first 20 years of my life I seen sherdi often. For the first 10 years I saw him almost daily. Not so much in the last several years.
He was a great friend. We visited each other often. Road hockey, ice hockey, soccer and more soccer, monopley games, seriously intense crokinole games, fishing,swiming,etc...we had a great time...and then we drifted..But I always loved the guy. May god comfort his dear family .
Love Brad

Dear Ann and family:
Sending our deepest sympathy on your loss. We are thankful for your devotion and love of Sheridan's care. You were his rock always. Sheridan never complained about his illness. Sheridan's work out west didn't give us much time together but we are thankful for the time we spent as family the last 19 months during his illness. It was great talking about our childhood and sharing lifelong pictures.
Love and prayers.
From Keith and Linda

My Brother, Sheridan
The loss of my brother,
it cuts like a knife,
66 years - not very long
for a span of a life.
We may have questions,
What's the meaning in this?
The answers are hidden . . .
I just know he'll be missed!
I choose to remember
the good times we had
I choose to remember
though I am sad.
In our home, in the kitchen
ball hockey we'd play
Taking shots at the stove and door opening,
When mum and dad were gone some days.
I choose to remember
the athlete he became
A short, but fast number "7",
Soccer was the name of that game.
He once travelled to Newfoundland
A hero was he
when he scored the winning goal
The Acadia team was in their glee!
I remember him sulking
by the window one day,
It was softball practice
he wanted to play.
But it was Sunday,
the Lord's day of rest,
So he stayed home, said nothing
Mum's rules, he couldn't contest.
He loved his sports,
That is for sure.
But he loved his wife, Ann
He loved her even more!
I choose to remember
Mum's death played a part
For they were reunited soon after
The answered prayer of a mother's heart!
I choose to remember
his smile and his laugh,
His valiant fight and silent suffering
while staring down the face of death.
Though distance and circumstances
may have played a big part,
I believe he loved his children and family
within the deep recesses of his strong heart,
So now I choose to remember
his last words to me,
"I love you, too, Deb!"
Good night sweet brother - now you are free!
