Age 67 of Newport Station, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016 at home with her family at her side. Born in Wolfville, NS, she was a daughter of the late Fenton H. Thomas and Cathleen (Lockhard) Thomas.
June was a loving wife and Mother who is survived by her husband Donald Sherman, son Ian Sherman of Alberta, daughters Tammy (Jody) Mason of Newport Station, Belinda Shortall of Lower Sackville, and Mandy (Eddie) Fleet of Windsor, N.S., brothers Joe (Ruth) Thomas of New Minas, Ricky (Michelle) Thomas of Bedford, Willie (Patt) Thomas of Antigonish, Calvin Thomas of Cape Breton and sisters Melody (Gernot) Richter of New Minas and Kay (David) Bosworth of Hantsport, Grandchildren: Candace, Alicia, Maria, Cody, Shawna-Noella and Great-grandchildren Sophia, Zayla and Aleah.
June was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Donations in June’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home and Chapels.
