Anthony, Deanna Lynn, age 52, born June 9, 1963, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on January 10, 2016 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. She was the daughter of the late Russell W. Anthony and Lyla (Guier) Anthony who survives. Deanna was a cherished sister, aunt, daughter and friend. Those closest to her will always remember her great smile and fun loving spirit. Deanna always took the road less travelled. She was full of adventure and loved the great outdoors, camping, hiking and traveling, often venturing to other parts of the world with only her backpack and bicycle. She was also a very talented seamstress and cutter. Her Dalhousie Diploma in Costume Studies led her to a varied and rewarding career in the theatre and film industry. Family and friends were very important to Deanna. In recent years she gave her heart and soul to renovating her cottage in Lower Economy, N.S. in order to share it with those she loved. She is survived by her sister Lisa (Cal) LeRoux of Dartmouth, who cared for her in recent months, her sister Kim Forster of Truro and partner Peter May, her brother Darren Anthony of Bible Hill and partner Lisa Pyke and her nieces and nephew; Alyce, Emily and Lucas Forster who each loved her dearly. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Deanna’s life will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Holiday Inn, Truro.
