Edith Joan Marie Hiltz (Baltzer) of Kentville born on February 21, 1939 passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2016. Edith was the daughter of the late Ruth Baltzer Hamilton. Left to morn; her life partner Carol Tracey, daughters Catherine Hiltz (Don Lacroix), Leah Dawn McDow (Robert), son Steven Allen (Peggy Reid), along with five grandchildren; Heather and Jennifer Elliott, Jason and Adam Brown, Rodney Hiltz (Hicks), several great grandchildren, numerous nieces, sisters; Ervena “Bunnie” Patterson (Stanley) and Ruthie McInnis (Tony Lunn). She was predeceased by her sister Geraldine Faye Bezanson “Cookie” and Edgar “Beaver” Hamilton and her one and only nephew Bradford Patterson.
Edith worked as a personal care worker for most of her life. She enjoyed fishing, poker and especially loved to spend time at the ocean .
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home and Chapels (Coldbrook). Family flowers only. Memorials donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association.

There will be an open house to celebrate the life of Edith Joan Marie Hiltz on January 7, 2016 from 2-4pm at the home of Leah and Robert McDow, 1529 Victoria Road, Aylesford.
