Obituary of Anthony Spurrell

Anthony "Tony Tremco" Spurrell - Age 70, Fall River, passed away peacefully in the VG Palliative Care Unit, surrounded by his good buddies. He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Gibson, Fall River; son Jeffrey, Lower Sackville; daughter Amber (Katie), Ellershouse; grandchildren Jeremy and Nicole. Predeceased by parents William and Eleanor Spurrell; Brother Ralph (Cheryl), Ontario. Siblings: Clyde, ON; Ron (Judy), NFLD; Bill (Florence), NFLD; Patricia (Herb) Husk, NFLD; Jerry, NS; Betty Judges, ON; Beverly (Craig) Ness, ON and many nieces and nephews. Tony worked 46 years for Tremco Ltd. in sales throughout Atlantic Canada where he developed business and personal relationships with his customers. Above all, he had a deep love and respect for Tremco and its people. Tony leaves behind a large circle of friends and special buddies. Special thank you to the Palliative Care team at the VG for their amazing care and attention- especially, Patti and the Musical Therapist, Erin. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held on Friday, December 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the St. John's United Church on Hwy. #2, Fall River. Reverend Matthew Fillier presiding. Reception will follow in Church Hall. Private family burial at the Fall River Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Palliative Care VG 7A, or the Diabetes Foundation.
