McInnis, Brenda Pauline (Bushen, Spidle) Age 72 of Kentville, passed peacefully into the closer presence of the Lord at Evergreen Home for Special Care December 3, 2015. Born on Bush Island, NS, she was a daughter of the late James and Nellie (Bush) Bushen. Brenda was a homemaker and store clerk before her sojourn with the loving people at Evergreen Home. Aside from her parents, Brenda was predeceased by her infant sister, Evelyn, companion Robert Kerr, ex-husband Gordon Spidle, and husband Earnest McInnis. Brenda is survived by her son, Aron Spidle, step-sons’ James and Eli, and step-daughters’ Evette, Robin and Myretha, special cousins Murray and Pauline Bushen, and Wilson and Kay Conrad. Sincere appreciation is extended to the staff at Evergreen Home for Special Care, Sharon Taylor and the Rev. Mary Anne Doherty-Fleet for all their years of love, care and friendship of and with Brenda. By Brenda’s request there will not be a funeral, although there will be a general memorial service for residents who have died, during which Brenda will be one of those remembered, at Evergreen at a future date. Donations in memory may be made to the Diabetes Association of Canada, the Breast Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice. Rest eternal grant unto her,
