Obituary of George Penney

Penney, George William Passed on November 8th, 2015 at Oakwood Terrace at the age of 82, born Sept 3rd, 1933. He was the last of the children of George and Janie (Kelloway). George is survived by his son Kirk (Mildred), daughters Kim Leslie and Tracy (Donny) Leadley. Grandchildren – Amanda, George, Stephanie, Gordon and Amber. Great-grandchildren – Jayden, Kobie, Emalynn and Savannah; brother-in-law Ron Leppard and sister-in-law Virginia Penney. He was predeceased by his wife Merna (Oickle), infant daughter Nan; sisters – Viola, Mildred and Veda; brothers – Hugh, Allison and John. The family would like to thank the staff of Unit C for their love and care they gave our father. A celebration of life will be held on Friday Nov 13th, from 3–6 pm at the Somme Branch Legion, 54 King St., Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place under the care of Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels (Halifax) 902-476-7246.
