FOSTER, Helen Elizabeth - 90, Aylesford, passed away peacefully with her loving family at home on October 23, 2015. Born in Aylesford on May 2, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Joudrey) Murphy. Helen worked at Berwick Canning Factory and then at Larsen's Packers for 30 plus years and retiring at the age of 63. She was a standing member of the Berwick Legion Branch No. 69. She loved bingo, card games, music, doing word search and family visits. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by son, Philip, Berwick; daughters, Pauline (Kenneth) Ryerson, Auburn; Sharon Foster (Lewis Millett), Canning; Ida Ryerson, Kingston; Barbara (Harold) Williams, Greenwood; Brenda (John) Keddy, Waterville; Bertha Foster, Aylesford; Susan (John Graves), Steam Mill; 27 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Percy; two son-in-laws, Ted Ryerson and Howard Keddy; grandson Eugene Keddy; brothers, George, Cecil, William and Ambrose Murphy and Stedman McKay, sisters Ruth, Joyce, Peggie and Thelma. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 7-9:00p.m. with funeral service Thursday, October 29 at 2p.m. both in Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel (192 Commercial St.,). Pastor Christina Bigelow officiating. Burial will take place in the Aylesford Union Cemetery. Donations made be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Kentville.
