Obituary of Gerald Earnest Wood

WOOD, Gerald Earnest – 91, Wolfville – passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 21, 2015 at the Valley Regional Hospital. Gerald was a highly respected Fire Chief and apparatus expert for the Wolfville Volunteer Fire Department for numerous years; a man who had compassion for his work, blessed with his own opinion – if you wanted to hear it or not, who loved to talk and give as much guidance as he could. Gerald was also a Building Inspector for the Town of Wolfville. Survived by his son Steven (Halifax); grandchildren Olivia and Marlo. Predeceased by wife Jean (Welton). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private service will be held at a later date.
