Obituary of Erna Arlene Reeves

REEVES, Erna Arlene, 80, of Halls Harbour (formerly the Forties) passed away peacefully at home on August 22, 2015 surrounded by the comfort and love of her family. Erna was the daughter of the late John Emmerson Roast and Bertha Mae (Corbin) of the Forties. Erna is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Emery, mother to Marlene Rogers (Andy), Black Rock; Anna Marie Schofield (Norm), Glenmount; Wanda Roy (Brad), Halls Harbour and Cindy Graves (Keith) North Alton; sister to Marshall (Elsie) North Alton; Wendell (Sharon), New Ross and Gary, Western Shore. She was very proud to be called Nannie and Granny to 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who she held very near and dear to her heart and gave her many beautiful memories. She was an Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Alta; brothers Roland and Gerald. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private family Celebration of Life and burial will be held at a later date. Erna's family would like to send a huge thank you to the many people from the VON and Palliative Care who cared for her during her illness, especially as her time grew near. Donations in Erna's memory may be made to the VON Kings Branch or the Canadian Cancer Society.
