CARTER, Charles Frederick, Pereau, passed away at the age of 88 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on August 2, 2015. Born on March 4, 1927 he was a son of the late Charles and Lillian (Taylor) Carter. Charles spent his working career as a Merchant Navy Commissioner, Halifax. Surviving is sons Wayne (Donna), Kentville; Lewis (Bonita), South Mountain Road; Steward (Anna), Beaverbank; Gary (Brenda), Coldbrook; Bruce, Canning; Allan, Wolfville; Brian, Canning; daughters Donna and Sharon both of Canning; sister Thelma Boutilier, Sackville; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grand children. Predeceased by wife Helen (1997); daughters Charlene and Darlene and brother Ernest. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Charles may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
