GRAVES, Lorraine Madeline (Payne), 83, of Kentville, passed away on July 26, 2015 at Shannex, Orchard Court, Kentville. Born in Bonne Bay, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Mitchell) Payne. She had a passion for knitting and at one time owned and operated Newfies Knit Wear in New Minas. She always enjoyed a trip to her brother Ned's cabin on Big Bonnie Bay Pond, Newfoundland and had many memories of good times there with family and friends. Lorraine always looked forward to her visits from cousin Florence and Catherine Critch, Bonne Bay, Newfoundland; her nieces Lorraine (Snow) Major, St. John's Newfoundland; Darlene (Payne) Bell and Sherry (Payne) Philpot, Calgary, Alberta. She will be sadly missed by all whom new and loved her. She is survived by her son Eric Leslie (Sheila) Aylesford Lake, Nova Scotia; grandchildren Cindy, Moncton, New Brunswick; Brock (Janice) Drumheller, Alberta; Brook (Charity) Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia; Holly (Mario), Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren Andrew, Ava, Keller, Piper and Olivia. Lorraine was predeceased by husband John Charles Graves; sisters Annie and Amy and brother Edward (Ned). As per request cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A family burial will be at a later date. Donations in Lorraine's memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
