Obituary of Kenneth Eugene Morton

MORTON, Kenneth Eugene, formerly of Somerset Kings County passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Shannex, Orchard Court, Kentville, his home for the final six years of his life. He was the son of the late Trueman ‘Mac’ Morton and Grace (Fisher) Morton of Somerset. He was survived by sons Tom (Janet) Halls Harbour; Dave (Carol) Habitant; Steve (Rita) Fort McMurray; daughter, Carolyn Morton Busk (David) Whites Lake; grandchildren Andrew, Michael, Carson, Claire, Jason, Alannah and three great-grandchildren. He had grown fond of all the Staff at Orchard Court, who treated him so honorably in his final years. Although he was proud of all his extended family, he had a close bond with nephew, Rick Pineo. Ken will be remembered for his keen story-telling and his love of family and genealogy. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed boxing and hockey. Ken worked at many jobs in many places ending his working career at the Kings County Hospital, Waterville. Predeceased by sister Dorothy (Boyd) Pineo; brothers John(Grace), Donald (Marion), Wallace (Jen) and Trueman. There will be no funeral or flowers. A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, July 16 at 1:00 p.m. at the Berwick Funeral Chapel, Berwick, for those who would like to join the family.
