PINEO, Beatrice Pearl – 98 of Wolfville, Kings Co passed away peacefully at the Shannex Blomidon Court Nursing Home, Greenwich, Thursday, March 26th. She was the daughter of the late Douglas and Nina Schofield. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, William ‘Buzz’ Pineo. She is survived by her daughter Judy (Sandy) Macmillan, Wolfville and son John (Beth) Pineo, Bridgetown and half-brother Clinton Forsythe, Sackville. She was very proud of and much loved by her four granddaughters: Sarah (Rob) Fletcher, Philadelphia; Carrie Macmillan, Toronto; Anne Macmillan, Halifax; Ailsa Macmillan, Vancouver; and great-granddaughter Scarlett Beatrice Fletcher. Beatrice was an active member and past president of both the Wolfville Ridge Club and the Wolfville Business Girls Club; a member of the Wolfville Curling Club, and a very active and faithful worker in the Wolfville Baptist Church. While raising her family she was also active in several retail businesses in Wolfville. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family. Her great love was spending summers at her cottage at Evangeline Beach. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Wolfville Baptist Church on April 11, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Barry Morrison officiating. Interment at Willowbank Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
