Obituary of Malcolm Brownell

Brownell, Malcolm Wagner 54, of New Minas, it is with great sadness that the family announce his passing on Saturday December 20, 2014. Malcolm came into this world on January 21, 1960 born to the late Laura (Clarence) MacCharles and Gordon Brownell. Malcolm began his career with Acadia University before relocating to the Town of Kentville (Kentville Centennial Arena) where he has been for the past 30 years. Malcolm will be lovingly remembered by his wife Darlene and his children Alicia (Kevin) Rand, Canning, Angela (Daniel) Lapenskie, Kanata, ON and Candace Brownell (home). Malcolm will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren Kieran, Ainsley, Kyra, Brayden and Paxton, by his siblings Sheilagh (Keith) Morton, Wayne (Camille) MacCharles, Dennis MacCharles, Cathy (Wayne) Titus, Paulette Brown, Brian (Bev) MacCharles, Sherry Mitchell, Shawn Brownell, Shannon Close and Shane Brownell all of Hamilton Ontario as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Malcolm was predeceased by a brother Blair Vernon MacCharles.
Visitation will be held from 5-6p.m. Friday December 26, 2014 with a funeral service to be held on Saturday December 27, 2014 at 11am in the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street, Wolfville, NS B4P 1E7 (902-542-4656) Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville. Family flowers only by request. Donations may be made in Malcolm's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
