Obituary of Karen Chambers

Chambers, Karen Ann age 61 years of Halifax and formerly of Windsor, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2014 at the Halifax Infirmary.
Born in Kentville on December 16, 1952; she was the daughter of the late Ralph D. and Jean M. (Crouse) Chambers.
Karen lived the majority of her life in Windsor and for the last ten years was a resident at Northwood Manor in Halifax. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Left to mourn with many happy memories are her sisters Sherry White (Chester) of Plympton and Linda Benner (Ronald) of Lower Burlington; brother Robert (Linda) Chambers of Windsor Forks; nieces Annette Croft (Bart) of Windsor, Ann Benner of Dartmouth, Rhonda Benner of Bridgewater and Tina White (Ian) of Alberta; nephew Lee (Lynn) Chambers of Windsor; great niece Iris Chambers and great nephews Jack and Bryant Chambers all of Mt. Uniacke.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Northwood Manor for the kindness, care and compassion that was shown to Karen during her ten year stay; also thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Halifax Infirmary for their support and keeping Karen comfortable during her last days.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Karen made to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by her family.
