Eunice Mary Shaw
May 8, 1927 - November 19, 2014
Age 87 years of Berwick, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2014. Born on May 8th, 1927 in Glace Bay, Cape Breton; she was the daughter of the late Jack and Eva Doyle.
Eunice is predeceased by her devoted husband of 65 years, Elias James Shaw, her son John William Shaw and daughter Judith Ann Shaw.
Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter Valerie Marie Jones and her husband Roger of Fredericton, NB ; granddaughter Pamela Catherine Jones of Fort Mc Murray, Alta.
While residing in Berwick, Eunice was a homemaker and worked tirelessly as a volunteer. She was an active member of her church of St. Anthonys Parish and also with the Catholic Womens League where she served as past President and Secretary. She was a Eucharistic minister, visited the sick and infirmed at home and in Grandview Manor and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Her favourite pass times were cooking and reading.
Special thank you to Dr. Robin Bustin and all staff at the Grandview Manor for their special care, love and support to Eunice and her predeceased husband Elias where they resided for 6 years.
In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A memorial service followed by a reception will be held at St. Anthonys Roman Catholic Church, Berwick on November 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Fr. Craig Cameron officiating. Interment to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery, Kentville.
In lieu of flowers, donations made directly to the Grandview Manor would be appreciated by her family.
