Eary, Ronald Douglas – age 84 years of Wilmot and formerly of Greenwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and daughters on November 5, 2014 at the Valley Regional Hospital. Born in East Sable River, NS on June 6, 1930; he was a son of the late George and Maude (Smith) Eary. Ron served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 27 years and enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing and especially wood working with his chainsaw. Left with many fond and loving memories are his wife Nancy (MacInnis) Eary of Wilmot; daughters Violet Parisien (Ed-deceased) of Middleton, Kit Eary of Wilmot, Colleen Spinney (Vernon) of Kingston, Deborah Prall (Peter) of Wilmot; Annita White (Greg) of Greenwood; son David Eary (Edward) of B.C.; sisters Kay Parker of Canning and Annie Barns of East Sable River. Also left to mourn are his beloved 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 2 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Ronnie very much. In keeping with Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2pm from the Annapolis Valley Church of Nazarene (738 Tremont Mountain Rd) with Pastor Dianne Elliott officiating. Donations in memory of Ron made to the Nova Scotia Kidney Foundation or the Nova Scotia Liver Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
