HENDERSON {GRANVILLE} TERESA AMANDA
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of a special lady, Teresa Henderson, 94, of Weymouth, NS, on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. Teresa was the only child of the late Captain Calvin and Ruth Granville. She was educated in Weymouth and upon graduation went to Saint John, NB and attended Business College. After receiving her Business Degree she worked in Halifax, Saint John, and then went to Montreal and worked at Crane Limited for 35 years. Teresa met her husband, Arthur in Montreal, and they were married for 51 years. Upon retirement they returned to Weymouth to live. Teresa then taught piano lessons for ten years.
Teresa is survived by her daughter Donna (Millard) Spurr Adams, Grandson John (Jennifer) Adams, Pace, Fla.; Granddaughter Melissa Adams, Birmingham, ALA; great grandchildren Kailyn, Jaxon, Pace, Fla.; Caroline & Ryan, Birmingham, ALA; Cousins: Seymour (Ruth) Blackadar, Winnipeg; Dorothy Philpott, Sussex, NB; George (Janet) Hue, Halifax and many others.
Teresa was active in many organizations including King's Daughters, IODE, Canadian Cancer Society, Anglican Church Women, United Church Women, Garden Society, and Historical Society. In keeping with her wishes she has been cremated and there will be a Graveside Service at Riverside Cemetery, Weymouth North on Saturday, 25th October at 2:00pm. The Reverend Mel Malton officiating. A reception will follow at the Goodwin Hotel. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
Teresa was very blessed to have three wonderful loving caregivers, Judy, Donna and Gloria Cromwell, and special friend Betty Mullen, Weymouth. Words cannot express how grateful we are for all the love and kindness you gave to Teresa The Family.
