Jones, Florence Helen – age 83 years of Berwick, passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital on October 3, 2014. Born in Lynn, Mass, USA on May 27, 1931; she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Hussey) McNally. Florence was a devoted house wife and family person. She and her late husband Theodore ran the Morden Store for 11 years and she also worked in Burlington, Ont as a cashier for six years. Florence was a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Berwick and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Ortona Branch #69, Berwick Auxiliary. She also enjoyed playing cards and going to card parties with her friends. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Stephen “Steve” (Lynda Murray) of Hamilton, Ont, Robert “Bob” of Aylesford, Thomas “Ted” (Shelley Rodenizer) of Lake Paul and Michael “Mike” (Carrollynne Becker) of Aylesford; sisters Cecelia Baltzer (Duane) of Burlington, Ont and Louisa Cooper (Bernie) of Kentville; sister in law Bobbie McNally of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Predeceased by her husband Theodore; daughter in law Tina Jones; brothers Francis, Joseph and Robert; sisters Marion Nauss and Alice McNally. In keeping with Florence’s wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church (120 Mill St, Berwick) on Wednesday, October 8th, 2014 at 11:00am with Fr. Craig Cameron officiating. Interment to take place at the Aylesford Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Florence made to Marg’s Glad Gardens (5387 Brooklyn St, Grafton, NS B0P 1G0) or to the St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated by her family.
