HEBB, Douglas Charles, 71, of Upper Dyke, Kings County, passed away Sunday Sept. 21, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville (deepest gratitude to all his nurses and doctors) after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Born in Bridgewater to the late Douglas Edward and Hilda (McKay) Hebb of Lunenburg, he is survived by his wife, Barbara (Howitt-Gerritse) , one brother, and three sisters; Hubert Hebb, Angelia Lee, Carole Rose and Bonnie Hebb, as well as five children; Alison Carrey, Ursula Torquato, Michael Hebb, Janelle Hebb and Danita Lechelt; five grand-children: Veronica Elkins, Anna Torquato, Sophie Torquato, Angela Hebb and Mason Lechelt. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook Chapel (902-679-2822). We will hold him forever in our hearts.
