Carpenter, Kenneth Charles – age 79 years of Aylesford, passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2014. Born on October 11, 1934 in Toronto, ON; he was the son of the late Anthony and Rose (Richings) Carpenter. Ken served for 31 years with the Royal Canadian Air Force working as a Navigator. He loved to play golf at the Paragon Golf and Country Club and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Lois Carpenter; sons Anthony “Scott” (Jeanette) of Kentville, Donald (Janet Shupe) of Lower Sackville; daughter Patricia Fitch of Greenwood; stepson Todd (Clara) Lacey of Lower Sackville; stepdaughter Leanne Logan of Halifax; grandchildren Stephanie and Gregory; step grandchildren Zachery, Tara, Susan and David; great granddaughter Jillian; also by nephews Donald and Joseph Carpenter. Predeceased by his first wife Carole Ann Mae Hart-Corbett and brother Donald. In keeping with Ken’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial service. Interment in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Auburn will take place at a later date. Donations made to the St. Mary’s Church would be greatly appreciated by his family.
