Lutz, Carleton Azie – age 89 years formerly of South Waterville, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2014 at the Grand View Manor. Born in Rockland, Kings Co., on April 21, 1925; he was a son of the late Azie and Florence (Palmer) Lutz. Carleton spent the majority of his life farming and also worked for the Department of Transportation with his own highway maintenance truck and drove school buses for Perry Rand Ltd. He loved hunting deer in the fall and spending time making memories with his children and grandchildren. Left with fond and loving memories are his sons Leroy (Rae) and Terry, both of South Waterville; daughter Janet Josey (Wayne) of Parkdale; grandchildren Jennifer Wilson, Aaron Wilson and Megan Rand; great grandchild Jessie Rand; brothers Hardy (Jessie), Ronald and Robert (Maureen); sisters Helen Wilson, Marie Carver, Janice Dunn, Carolyn Schrage and Marina Hudson; also by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Predeceased by his loving wife Pauline (Strong); granddaughter Malinda; brother Whitney; sisters Doris Palmer, Rose Boyd, Margaret Palmer, Carrie Carver, Bertha Keddy and Bessie Stoddart. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carleton made to the Grand View Manor would be greatly appreciated by his family.
